BELOW KNEE PROSTHETIC LOCK AT AHMEDABAD

A Fit Kit prosthetic lock generally refers to a component used in lower-limb prosthetic systems to securely attach the prosthetic socket to the liner worn on the residual limb. It is part of a suspension system that helps keep the prosthesis stable during walking and other activities.

The lock mechanism typically works with a pin or shuttle system. The user wears a liner with an embedded distal pin, and when the limb is inserted into the prosthetic socket, the pin engages with the locking mechanism inside the Fit Kit unit. Once engaged, it “locks” in place, preventing the prosthesis from slipping off during movement. To remove the prosthesis, the user usually presses a release button or activates a disengagement mechanism that frees the pin.

Fit Kit systems are designed to improve comfort, stability, and ease of use. They are commonly used because they provide a secure fit while still allowing relatively simple donning and doffing compared to some other suspension methods.
